Business Card Images: Stored in your device's local storage
Contact Information: Saved in a local database (Hive) on your device
App Settings: Stored locally in app preferences

3.2 No Cloud Storage

CardSnap does not use any cloud storage services. Your data never leaves your device. We do not have access to your information at any time.

3.3 Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

Delete individual business cards at any time
Uninstalling the app removes all associated data
No data remains on any external servers (because we don't use any)

4. Permissions Explained

CardSnap requests the following permissions, which are used only for the stated purposes:

4.1 Camera Permission

Purpose: To take photos of business cards
Usage: Only activated when you tap the scan button
Data: Photos are processed locally and never transmitted

4.2 Storage Permission

Purpose: To save business card images on your device and to select images from your gallery
Usage: Only used to read/write files in the app's designated storage area
Data: All files remain on your device

4.3 No Internet Permission

CardSnap's core functionality does not require internet access. The app works 100% offline.

5.1 OCR Technology

CardSnap uses Google ML Kit for on-device text recognition:

All processing happens locally on your device
No data is sent to Google servers
ML Kit runs entirely offline after initial download

5.2 No Analytics

We do not use any analytics services such as:

Google Analytics
Firebase Analytics
Crashlytics
Or any other tracking tools

5.3 No Advertising

CardSnap contains no advertisements and does not share data with advertising networks.

6. Children's Privacy

CardSnap does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don't collect any data at all, the app is safe for users of all ages.

While we don't collect data, we take security seriously:

All data is stored locally using secure storage methods
Images are compressed and stored in app-private directories
